Resume Parser Action in ServiceNow

ServiceNow users can use the Resume Parser Action to automate resume parsing in any business flow.

Procedure

To use the Resume Parser Action in ServiceNow Business Flow, you must do the following:
  1. Authenticate using OAuth
  2. Update Client Panel
  3. Test the Connection
  4. Test the Resume Parser Action
  5. Use the Action in a Business Flow

Authenticate using OAuth

  1. In ServiceNow, search for Application Registry.
  2. Click Application Registry from the search results.

  3. On the Application Registry page, click RChilli OAuth.

  4. On the OAuth Provider page, enter the following details:
    • Enter Name, Client ID, and Client Secret.
      Note: For Client ID and Client Secret, refer to below section Update Client Panel step - 4.


    • Enter the Redirect URL for your ServiceNow instance.

      Note: Use only the first word of your ServiceNow instance URL for the Redirect URL update (for example, https://xxxxxx.service-now.com).

  5. Click Update to save changes.

Update Client Panel

Update the Redirect URL in RChilli My Account for ServiceNow.

  1. Enter your Email and Password to log in to your RChilli My Account client portal or use Office 365 or Google to log in as necessary. You must sign up if you do not have registered account.
    Note: Contact support@rchilli.com for My Account portal access, subscription plans, pricing, and for any further support.


  2. Click ServiceNow to log in into RChilli My Account client portal for ServiceNow.

  3. On the My Account tab, go to the Integration Information section and click View.
    Note:
    • You can get details for Staging or Production environments as necessary.
    • Click Subscribe to a Plan if you need production access.


  4. On the Staging Application pop-up, make a note of the Client Id, Secret Key, and Authorize Url.
    Note: Ensure that the Redirect URL matches the value configured in ServiceNow. Refer step-4 in above section Authenticate using OAuth for more details.


Test Connection

  1. In ServiceNow, search for Connection & Credentials Aliases.
  2. Click Connection & Credentials Aliases from the results.

  3. On the Connection & Credentials Aliases page, click RChilli OAuth.

  4. Under Credentials tab, click RChilli OAuth.

  5. Under Related Links, click Get OAuth Token.
    Result: The RChilli My Account login portal opens.

  6. Enter your Email and Password to log in to your RChilli My Account client portal or use Office 365 or Google to log in as necessary. You must sign up if you do not have registered account.

  7. Once you Authorize ServiceNow, your ServiceNow session will be able to communicate with RChilli products.

Action

Once the OAuth connection is active, you can test the Resume Parser Action.

  2. Locate the resume file.
  3. Right-click and select Copy sys_id.

  4. In ServiceNow, open Workflow Studio.
  5. Click Actions and filter by “RChilli”.

  6. Click Test on the RChilli Resume Parser Action.

  7. On the Test Action pop-up, enter RChilli Sub User ID, Version, Resume ID (sys_id). Click Run Test.
    Note: Resume ID (sys_id) you copies in above step - 3.


  8. After the test completes, click view to see the execution details.
  9. Expand Steps and under Integration Metadata, review the Sample payload to confirm parsed resume data.

Use Action in Business Flow

Once tested, you can integrate the Resume Parser Action in any ServiceNow business flow.

  1. In Workflow Studio, click Flows.
  2. Select an existing flow or create a new one.

  3. Add the RChilli Resume Parser Action to your workflow.

  4. Add RChilli Sub User ID, Version, Resume ID, and click Done.
