API Details

This topic describe the procedure on how to get the API URL, API Username, and API Password for the RChilli chrome configuration.

API URL

The API URL is typically the URL of your Oracle Cloud service, for example https://servername.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com. You can get API URL when signing in to your Oracle Instance, see below image.

API Username and Password

Follow the below procedure to create the API user with the necessary roles and permissions.
  1. Click on the three lines on the left-hand side top corner.

  2. Navigate to Tools > Security Console.

  3. Click on the Users tab on the left-hand side navigation panel.

  4. Click Add User Account to add a user with the necessary roles and permissions.

  5. On the Add User Account page, fill the fields as necessary along with the mandatory fields i.e., Last Name, Email, User Name, Password, and Confirm Password.
    Note: Make a note of the User Name and Password, these details are needed when you configure the Oracle API Details.


  6. Once you filled the details above, click Add Role.

  7. On the Add Role Membership from Role pop-up, search and add all the roles mentioned in the below step.

  8. Repeat above step until all the roles listed below are added.

    ORA_HRC_HUMAN_CAPITAL_MANAGEMENT_INTEGRATION_SPECIALIST_JOB
    IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_APPLICATIONS_PRIV
    ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_CANDIDATES
    ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_APPLICATIONS
    ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_REQUISITIONS

  9. Once all the roles are added, click Save and Close button.

  10. Enter the API URL, API User Name, and API password that you noted in this task in the Chrome Extension Configuration. Refer Oracle_chrome_prerequisite.html#concept_u54_2ys_pzb__section_cpy_r44_kbc for more details.
