Configuring List of Values

A List of Values (LOV) in Oracle Cloud HCM provides users with a predefined list of valid options that can be selected when entering or updating data in a form or field.

LOVs help ensure data consistency, improve data entry speed, and reduce errors.

Common Examples of LOVs in Oracle Cloud HCM

Where LOVs Are Used
  • In dropdown fields during employee profile creation or job requisition setup.

  • While configuring integrations (for example, selecting a Job ID, Department ID, etc.).

  • In custom extensions where Oracle Application Composer is used.

  • During data loading using HDL (HCM Data Loader) or spreadsheets, where reference values must match LOVs.
